This is super simple and saves you money, not only for Easter baskets, but to make throughout the summer, when you're getting low on sidewalk chalk.  Share your ideas for saving money and still putting the FUN in the Easter baskets this year!

Some of the recipes I found used Plaster of Paris as the main ingredient.  I'm not sure how kid friendly that is so when I found this one with cornstarch, I was all over it!

Use two six-hole muffin tins to shape your chalk.

Mix together:

1 1/2 C of Cornstarch and 1 1/2 C of Water, divide it evenly between the 12 muffin cups.

Add 3 drops food coloring of your choice to each muffin cup and stir well.

Allow a couple of days to harden, pop them out, wrap in colorful plastic wrap with ribbon ties and fill those Easter baskets!
