Duluth native Kara Goucher had another strong showing today in the 117th running of the Boston Marathon.

KBJR TV is reporting that Kara Goucher finished sixth in the 117th annual Boston Marathon on Monday, finishing the 26.2-mile course in 2:28:11. Goucher spent the entire race among the top competitors but never made a serious move at the lead.

Congratulations to Kara and, on a personal note, I want to say congratulations to my sister Lisa who finished her first Boston Marathon today!
