Grandma's Marathon presents the last race of the year, the 10th Annual Minnesota Mile. They start at a location near Fitgers and finish around 4th Avenue West in Downtown Duluth. People can line up on both sides of Superior Street and join the runners later at the Holiday Center for Awards.

The Grandma’s Minnesota Mile will be race 4 of 6 in the Bring Back the Mile Grand Prix Tour, the leaders so far in the Men's Division is Graham Crawford of North Carolina and in the Women's Division is Heather Kampf of Minnesota. The course records are for the men Ben Blankenship with 3:52.7 and the women Gabriele (Anderson) Grunewald with a 4:21.3.

 

Here's a breakdown of the race

9:00 a.m. Verizon Wireless Kids Mile – open to those 8 to 14 yrs. Old

9:20 a.m. All City Mile-Recreational

10:00 a.m. Duluth Mile-Semi Elite

10:20 a.m. Grandma's Minnesota Mile-Elite Runners (Just over $20,000 Prize)

The awards will follow at the Holiday Center shortly after the Minnesota Mile Elite with all the results posted at Grandmasmarathon.com and at the Holiday Center.
