Does your little one have a little too much energy? You're in luck! Registration is officially open for the Saturday Morning At The Races series, which is put on every year by Grandma's Marathon as a way to keep kids active and healthy throughout the long Minnesota winters.

Grandma's Marathon organizers, along with those from the Young Athletes Foundation, team up with local colleges to put on the series. This time around, they have teamed up with three for three different races your kiddos can take part in.

 Race One Details

The first race takes place at the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday, January 6th. Meet at the Burns Wellness Commons at 1200 Kenwood Avenue in Duluth.

Race Two Details

Race two will take place at the University of Minnesota Duluth at the Ward Wells Fieldhouse, located at 1228 University Drive. This race takes place on Saturday, January 20th.

Race Three Details

The last race in this series, for now, will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at the University of Wisconsin Superior. Meet at the Marcovich Wellness Center, located at 1810 Catlin Avenue in Superior.

Everything To Know About These Races

  • The race series is free.
  • The races are for kids fourteen and under.
  • There are adaptive and wheelchair athlete opportunities at every race.
  • Kids will race based on age with 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile course options.
  • Every kid will get a t-shirt for each race they take part in.
  • Races start at 10 a.m.

You can register your child in person at any of these races starting at 9 a.m. on race morning. You can also register your kid online now for any of the races. What a fun way to keep your kid active in the winter!
