As the Northland Anticipates the Christmas City of the North Parade, the Macy Day Parade Equipment Escapes Superstorm Sandy’s Wrath

It's a family tradition for many.  Eat, eat, eat and watch the parade (before the football).  I hadn't even given a thought to the fact that New York City's Macy Day Thanksgiving Parade equipment COULD have been in jeopardy due to Superstorm Sandy, here's what they're saying and info on our own hometown parade, The Christmas City of the North Parade.Everything that makes the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade exciting is housed in New Jersey.  That's even where the design studio for the parade floats is located.  According to the LA Times, a levee broke during the massive storm, but the studio and the warehouse that held  more than 80% of the parade equipment was spared.
