Somebody in Wisconsin enjoyed a life-changing win this week by playing Wisconsin's Megabucks, a game available through the Wisconsin Lottery.

Going into the Wednesday, February 7 drawing the Megabucks jackpot had grown to $3.5 million, and when it was all said and done, one person would score that jackpot.

How Do You Pay Wisconsin's Megabucks?

The setup is similar to other lottery games in that you select a series of numbers and the amount you can win is determined by how many winning numbers you have once a drawing has been completed.

The official game rules are as follows:

  1. Choose six different numbers from 1 through 49. Minimum play is two panels for $1.
  2. Place wagers by asking for a QUICK PICK or by using the Megabucks play slip. Playslips are available at Wisconsin Lottery retailers.
  3. Choose how many draws to play. Each set of two plays cost $1 per draw. Megabucks can be played up to 8 draws (4 weeks) in advance.
  4. Select the EZ Match feature (an additional $1 per set of two plays) for a chance to win instantly. The terminal will select the EZ Match numbers. NOTE: Each set of two Megabucks plays with EZ Match will print on a separate ticket.
  5. Check the play slip carefully before handing it to the retailer. Megabucks tickets can't be canceled.
  6. Give the completed payslip and cash to the retailer.
  7. Receive, sign, and safeguard tickets. A ticket is needed to claim a prize. Playslips are not valid to claim a prize.
