NFL free agency officially began today and the Minnesota Vikings didn't waste much time to make a move to improve their offensive line.

StarTribune.com is reporting that the Vikings have signed two-time Pro Bowl guard Alex Boone to a four-year contract, reportedly worth $26.8 million.  Boone had played his first six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

This should be a nice addition to a troubled offensive line and it could provide the Vikings with some flexibility with their first round draft pick.  Many had predicted they would draft an offensive lineman first, but perhaps they have their eye on adding a new weapon for Teddy Bridgewater.
