Venezuelan President Chavez Thinks US Caused His Cancer

Yeah, that's what I thought too.  Weird, right?  When I first saw the headline I thought this must be a joke.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said recently that he finds it strange that several Latin American leaders have developed cancer in the recent years.  He thinks the United States may have some secret cancer developing program.  (Maybe with death lasers?)

Chavez prefaced his remarks at a military event in Caracas by saying, "I don't want to make any reckless accusations," but the Venezuelan president said he was concerned by something he finds "very, very, very strange."

"Would it be strange if (the United States) had developed a technology to induce cancer, and for no one to know it?" he asked.

Yikes.  Maybe we hit him with a stupid ray.  Or a paranoid ray.  That would make a little more sense I think.  Read more about the weird news story at cnn.com.
