I want to see this movie!  What an inspiration and interesting life this man has lead.  I saw the official movie trailer during the broadcast of the Olympics and was intrigued that it is directed by Angelina Jolie.  It's part of history and a must-see!  What the trailer and you'll be waiting for it's release like I am.

Louis Zamperini is 97.  97!  His life story should have been told before now, but thanks to Angelina Jolie, it is now going to be what everyone is talking about once the movie is released the end of this year.

In a nutshell, he was a member of the 1936 Olympic track team competing in Berlin, thus why they chose to pre-promote it during the 2014 Winter Olympics.  According to Today Entertainment, Louis ran his final lap so fast that Adolf Hitler insisted on a personal meeting. During World War II, his bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and he survived 47 days in shark-infested waters before reaching land. He was then held as a prisoner of war by the Japanese and brutally treated. He survived the war and went on to become an inspirational Christian speaker, even forgiving and meeting with many of the guards who tortured him.

If you want to read the book before the movie comes out this December.  Look for "Seabiscuit" by author Laura Hillenbrand.  She wrote his biography in 2010, and it became a New York Times bestseller.

Angelina Jolie told Today Entertainment that the journey wasn't easy. "This has been the hardest thing I've ever done," Jolie said, relating that she handmade posterboards telling the "Unbroken" story in hopes of convincing Universal Studios that she could make the film. "I pitched my butt off," she said.

I'm sure the trailer will leave you in awe of Louis and you'll put see "Unbroken" on your movies to watch in 2014.
