Townsquare Media Building in Duluth Filled With Smoke On Friday [VIDEO]

Today started as a typical Friday at Townsquare Media in Duluth.  Everyone was in good spirits, we had our monthly all-staff meeting where we award an 'Employee Of The Month' while enjoying snacks and fellowship.  Courtney Duvall, our multi-tasked and mulit-talented receptionist won her first 'Employee Of The Month' award.  All was good.

However, things would change around noon when smoke and a strong smell filled the building.  What could cause such hazy, stinky situation?  Certainly not the award-winning Courtney Duvall.

Actually, it was Courtney due to a misunderstanding with our microwave.  She was attempting to reheat a delicious bowl of chicken and rice for only 2 minutes. However she accidentally entered 20 minutes  on the microwave timer, hit start and then walked away.

Below is the video of what happened afterwards.  Other than a lingering smell on all our clothes and within the building, everyone is just fine and Courtney is still well deserving of our coveted 'Employee Of The Month Award'.  Just don't ask her to make microwave popcorn.
