I heard today was national Audubon day.  What the heck does that mean anyway?  What's an Audubon?  How do we celebrate today?  What are we even celebrating? Is this an excuse to party? Well here's the scoop.

It's a day set aside to honor John James Audubon.  This guy was big into birds.  He was a French-American ornithologist and painter.  He studied birds all of his life and did illustrated bird books.  Among those was what he is most known for and that is The Birds Of America.

So how do we celebrate?  Grab a pair of binoculars and start bird watching.  Try to identify as many as you can.
