This Weeks Country Throwback Goes Back 36 Years With Kenny Rogers [VIDEO]

When we announced that tickets were on sale now for 'Ladies Game Night', I thought I should choose a song about games as this weeks Country Throwback.  One classic Kenny Rogers tune instantly came to mind.

"The Gambler" was released in November of 1978, and it was one of five consecutive songs by Kenny to hit #1 on the Billboard country music chart.  The song also charted in the top 20 on the pop music chart.

Of course, the song has stood the test of time with generation after generation knowing the chorus, and Kenny recently singing the song in a popular Geico television ad.
