Several days of warmer temperatures have been troublesome for 'The Ice Project' on Barkers Island in Superior.   Highs have reached near 40 degrees over the weekend and into early this week.  The left wing of the castle like structure came down, but the rest of the sculpture has survived.

Minor setback today, Temps got to 46 deg. on the island with winds up to 18mph. Temps going down now. After today I be looking at some great weather for the next ten days at least. As they say at NASA , "All systems are a go with throttle up."

The temperatures after today are expected to drop, so hopefully Roger will have some better luck.  Let's hope the winter storm today doesn't do any damage either.

It's already had a collapse earlier at the start of the project, and last year the entire structure came crumbling down after a warmer stretch of weather.
