There are several annual traditions across the Northland that give us reminders that Thanksgiving is fast approaching. It's not only the colder temps and recent snowfall that give it away, there is also Northland food and drink to remind us.

One annual food tradition has become so popular that there will be countless people headed to Burrito Union in Duluth.

If you're not familiar with Burrito Union, located at 1332 E. 4th Street in Duluth, they are a locally owned restaurant that is a fun, eclectic place to eat and drink.

Burrito Union is a North Shore rustic, atmospheric Mexican cantina located on the adventurous and picturesque shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. We pride ourselves on serving Mexican cuisine that is both traditional and inspired originality.  Our famous monthly burrito specials are fan favorites.

Speaking of their monthly burrito specials, November brings what is likely their most popular creation, the Thanksgiving Burrito. Each year, word travels fast whenever it's available and the time to get one of the "must-have" fall foods in the Northland is now.

Burrito Union made it official this week with a post on its Facebook page that the Thanksgiving Burrito was back.

Our famous burrito is finally BACK at BU, only for the month of November! Filled with roasted white and dark turkey, sweet corn, stuffing, choice of mashed regular or sweet potatoes, and a side of turkey gravy and cranberry salsa.

It's really a complete turkey dinner that you can hold in your hand, as the picture they share shows. Make sure you arrive at Burrito Union hungry!

Add this to the great Thanksgiving-related food to try in Minnesota, like the Thanksgiving Pizza in Superior,  and the epic Thanksgiving Dinner Bloody Mary. Just be sure to save some appetite for the actual holiday!
