Taylor Swift’s Banjo Player Welcomes Baby Girl

The Taylor Swift ‘family’ just grew a tiny bit, as the ‘Begin Again’ singer’s banjo player, Mike Meadows, and his wife, Brittany, have welcomed a baby girl. The little addition, named Sophie, was born on Friday, Sept. 21.
Meadows, who plays banjo, guitar and anything with strings for Swift, was on site for the birth of his daughter, but left quickly to fly to Las Vegas for the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival. Talk about a hectic weekend for the new dad! We hope he was able to sneak in some shut eye in between “oohing” and “aahing” at his little one and performing for thousands of Swift fans.
Proud mom Brittany even tweeted a photo of Sophie, introducing her to the social media world with a drumroll. “DrumRollPlease… It’s my pleasure to introduce you to the one & only Sophie Meadows!” she said, adding, “@smalltownmike & I are in LOVE!!”
It’s easy to see how they fell in love so quickly, as Sophie is quite the little looker. And she is lucky to have Taylor Swift for an ‘aunt.’ We can’t help but wonder if Swift already gifted her with a onesie adorned with cats.
