This Thursday, July 18,  is the day planned for the City of Duluth's Parks and Rec Sand modeling Contest and Summer Beach Bash.  Pack  the family for a day of fun and sun on Park Point!  Here's the details....

Ed. The Greater Downtown Council is happy to again partner with the YMCA with sponsorship of the Sidewalk Shuffle. This scenic 5K run and walk is July 10th, on the first day of the Sidewalk Days Festival, and it supports the Duluth YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign!

An amazing new $300,000 baseball field, located next to the Harrison Community Center at 3002 West 3rd Street, had wheel chair athletes in mind when it was constructed.  NOW, it's time for the to YMCA to coordinate the Miracle League Team.  Players and volunteers are needed and can even sign up to play in a "try it"game.

Today I learned and was certified in how to administer CPR.  It's something I've always wanted to learn, and thankfully our company brought in the YMCA to teach us.  The class took a little over an hour, and we were also taught how to use the AED machines...
