The Young Athletes Foundation is starting up Wednesday Night At The Races tomorrow evening at Bayfront Festival Park.  It's free for kids 14 and under!  The race starts at 6pm, but parents and kids can come register starting at 5pm.  It's a great time for the family, and it encourages physical activity in our children.

I know, I know!  Who the heck wants to run the day after you've run a marathon, or even a half marathon?  Honestly, that's what I use to think, I would be like "I can take the next week off, because I just ran 13.1 miles".  But, if truth be told, it does the body good and feels fantastic to get the "kinks" of those sore tight muscles out.

Grandma's Marathon and the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is slated for Saturday, June 16 this year.  Just as popular is the William A. Irvin 5K, which will fill to it's capacity of 1900 runners quickly.  It's held the Friday night before the marathons and registration opens tomorrow.  Here's the details, good luck getting in and with your training.
