Mayor Don Ness welcomed some very special guests to City Hall today, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, they are in town for the first ever appearance of 'Disney on Ice' in Duluth and to celebrate the Mayor declared today 'Disney on Ice' Day in the city.
Other than a few possible morning showers Saturday, the weather this weekend isn't too bad. Why not take a drive to Enger Park in Duluth to see some amazing views from the brand new gazebo.
Residents should stay away from streams, culverts, and standing water. Never underestimate the power of moving water. Children should be supervised and remain away from all water at this time.
If you have issues with your storm sewer drain system, don't like the pot holes on your road, want to discuss taxes for your neighborhood, or just want to give the Mayor an "atta boy"! You have that opportunity to get face to face with him next Tuesday.
We knew Duluth was on the short list of cities that could get this opportunity. Now we have confirmation that hiring could start as early as summer if all goes well. Congratulations to all involved in the process and hopefully this helps create momentum in the Northland economy.

Usually Mayor's Night is held on the last Tuesday of the month, giving citizens the chance to voice your concerns, offer praise or make suggestions to better the quality of life in our City. This is just a temporary change to Monday, March 26, but thought you should know, if you were planning to attend next week.
