According to the Center for Missing & Exploited children, there has been 8 cases of missing children in the last year in the State of MInnesota.  It just so happens that all of them are teenage girls.  Their families are looking for them, and it only takes us a few minutes to scan the pictures and keep an eye out for them.

Unfortunately there are tragic stories each summer about pets and children left in vehicles on hot summer days. While there has been a growing awareness about these dangers when outdoor temperatures are hot, it is important to remember that even on cooler days that it can still get dangerously hot in a vehicle.

Nichole Nordeman's music video 'Slow Down' will really make parents take a step back and look and how fast these days are going by.  It's perfect to show to Mom on Mother's Day, just be sure you have the tissues nearby.

Spring is here and I couldn't be more thrilled.  It's FINALLY starting to warm up, and the temps could be in the 60s this weekend.   So it will be wonderful to get outdoors, do some grilling, and enjoy the fresh air.   But, there's also a problem that comes with this time of year, and I think a lot of parents can relate.

Even though I personally have not gone trick or treating in a while, it was not too many years ago that our kids were running house to house to get some treats.

If you've used detergent packets, you know how handy they can be.  You probably also know how dangerous they can be to children who mistake them for some type of treat.  At my house, I purposely put our packets up high because I thought the packaging and friendly smell could lead to an accidental poisoning with my kids.  Thankfully, legislators have recognized this problem and changes will be made

These 5 kids are amazing.  Sometimes all a kid needs is a friend.  This kid that was bullied is lucky to have "the best friends in the world."

Mentoring has changed over the years. Callie and Alice came in to talk about what you need to know. Qualifications, like spending time with kids, willing to share memorable experiences, 2 hours a week.

Everybody's doing it, Wednesday Night At The Races!  The Young Athletes Foundation and Grandma's Marathon invite children 14 and under to lace up their shoes and take part again this year.  This week will be the last of the summer with a year-end picnic to follow.  Don't miss it!

If you're ever in a bad mood, just pull up this video and you will be instantly smiling.  I actually laughed out loud at this kid who gave a wonderful interview.  It's too good to pass up watching 3 or 4 times.
