Just when we thought the Minnesota Timberwolves would gel this year upon the return of Ricky Rubio, the team learned they have to overcome another major setback this season.
Last year, there was a lot of buzz around the Timberwolves and they were challenging for a playoff spot. Then the Lakers came to town, star Ricky Rubio tore his knee, and the the team couldn't recover. This offseason they added veterans to better fit their system and were ready to welcome Rubio back in December. Now, they also have to wait until December to get All Star Kevin Love on the court.
Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman has decided to sit Kevin Love for the rest of the season. Love has passed all of the concussion tests and was cleared by doctors to play, but the staff believes it's pointless for him to risk injury when they don't have a chance at the playoffs anyway
