With the average price of gas approaching four dollars a gallon, the question becomes whether Americans are going to start to seriously changing their current driving habits and vacation plans, in light of this hike.

Remember the summer of 2008 when the highest gas prices on record occurred and the price for a gallon of fuel hit $4.11? Hate to break this to yah, but a warm winter and tensions in the Middle East have some analysts predicting current prices will top $4 by this spring — and could even climb as high as $6.50.

This morning on the way to work, I saw gas had dropped again to $3.75 next door to our studios.  Great! But still way too expensive.   The average cost of a gallon of gas in the U.S. is now $3.75, and it is expected to continue dropping.

Who said gas prices are out of control? The Torrance Daily Breeze reports a service station in Wilmington, California sold premium gas for the rock-bottom-it-must-be-1992 price of $1.10 a gallon for a four-hour period last Sunday. The gas was supposed to be sold for $4.29 a gallon.

Gas today was $3.84 a gallon.  The real reason they tell us that the gas prices are going up is because of the conflict in Libya.  Isn't it wonderful that the most volatile and unstable region of the world is always where we get our crude oil?  Here's my 5 reasons that gas prices keep rising.
