If you're cut from the cloth of those that just don't like country music, we understand -- kind of.

Chris Stapleton and the iconic Dwight Yoakam joined forces at the 2016 CMA Awards to cover a unique duet, "Seven Spanish Angels," first performed by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles in 1984, and though it may have had a slightly different sound, the combination was nearly as impressive as the original.

In a little over a week, runners of Grandma's Marathon and the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon will board buses for what feels like a thousand mile ride the their respective starting lines.  In honor of that feeling, I decided to choose a Dwight Yoakam favorite for this week's Country Throwback.

The runup to the 2015 ACM Awards will feature a plethora of musical acts, including special duets in which country legends will team up with modern acts for unforgettable performances.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to see the Eric Church concert in Minneapolis.  It was a fantastic show, with everyone singing along with just about every song.   They not only did this for a very energetic Eric Church, but they also sang along with opening act Dwight Yoakam.

Dwight Yoakam's two-night residency at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium is completely sold out. Tickets for the iconic singer's highly-anticipated return to the historic stage -- scheduled for April 12 and 13 -- sold out within 30 and 45 minutes of being on sale, respectively.
