Country Fest

Miranda Lambert just released the video for her new single 'All Kinds Of Kinds', and it uses a lot of video from her June performance at Country Fest.

I was pretty excited to go this last Saturday to Country Fest in Cadott, WI.  The line-up included headliner Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Neal McCoy, David Nail and more.  I had already seen Toby perform before, so I was really looking forward to Little Big Town.  The thought of seeing Neal McCoy didn't exactly get me running to the stage, but I am sure glad I did.

Well I guess I got off easy with a mild sprained ankle.  The Eau Claire Leader Telegram is reporting that several people were injured over the weekend at the free fall experience attraction at Country Fest over the weekend.  The most severe was a broken neck and back, also two people broke their ankles doing the jump.

For me, one of the biggest highlights of the CMT Music Awards was Little Big Town's performance of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'.  You can't beat this performance for pure vocal power and harmonies, plus adding Keith Urban on guitar is always a great thing (just ask Tim McGraw).  Remember, we still have plenty of room on our Country Fest Express to see Little big Town 'live June 29th.  Just listen t

I've been to a lot of concerts and I've seen a lot of performances, but I have a hard time remembering one as electrifying as Keith Urban's last night at Country Fest.  He was high energy and a lot of fun.  Several times he would run into the crowd and rock out with a fan, shredding his guitar solos right there in the aisle.  He also invited some fans onstage to sing "Kiss A Girl." Sad news to report in country music as Dierks Bentley's dad passed away Friday (June 1) in Phoenix, at the age of 88.  Dierks confirmed the death in a Twitter message he sent Saturday morning, noting, "It was an honor to comfort him as he left us. Thank you, fans, for the time and understanding."

Big & Rich are known for their crazy, rowdy songs like 'Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)'. The Country Fest stars are back with a change of pace that could turn out to be a big hit for them.
