UMD's annual Homecoming Parade has usually been held on Superior Street in downtown Duluth. This year, they are moving it on campus and will allow fans the luxury of just walking over to the UMD Homecoming football game, rather than having to drive and re-park.
My daughter Kylee just graduated from UMD. I remember "move in" day and the chaos that transpired at our area apartments, houses and especially on campus at the dorms. With that said there are a lot of families driving in the Northland unfamiliar with the city and natives need to be forgiving.
My daughter Kylee is graduating from UMD in just a few days, YAY! Soon, our college students will either be graduating or heading home for the summer. Kids these days are taking the saying “the dog ate my homework” and completely chucking it out the window. Today’s student needs a more up-to-date and convincing reason for missing an assignment, skipping class or failing to complete work. That’s why this story of a college student who faked his own kidnapping is so fascinating.
