The Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is a fun event that the City of Superior does annually this time of year.  I've brought my family to this over the years to kick off the Holiday Season, and we've always had a good time.

There's a little bit of a debate going on here at Townsquare Media Duluth.  Some of my co-workers are traditional real christmas tree lovers, and others like myself opt for the artificial tree.  What do you think?  Take the poll and see how you compare with others this holiday season!

Or, perhaps you're going to be out of town on Christmas or the kids are grown and out of the house, there are many reasons that people choose not to put a tree up in their home.

This last weekend, there was enough snow on the ground at my cabin to safely have this fire.  We had a pine tree that had fallen down on the road.  When you are logging, you have to "limb" the tree.  (As in take of the branches). This was a pine tree, so obviously the branches were pine needles.  AND THEY WERE FRESH, NOT DRY!  And this is what happened:

My family always had a real tree.  We use to go out on a friend's land in Holyoke and cut a fresh one down.  Ah, family memories.  According to Mail Online, experts are saying real trees could be the reason for sickness in your household.
