If you are an avid mountain biker, now is the time to speak up and be heard. The City of Duluth is accepting public comments for a 30-day public review period from this Wednesday through March 7, 2013, on an environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) that was prepared for the Duluth Traverse Mountain Bike Trail System.
May 18, 2012 On a gorgeous day getting outside is a priority for most people. You see a lot of runners, walkers and rollerbladers. A new campaign wants there to be more bikers, particularly in Minnesota. I do own a bike, but only ride it around when I'm out camping or something. Perhaps I need to upgrade my wheels and get out there!
According to Pedal Minnesota, the state was recognized as the 'Best Trails State' by American Trails, and boasts more paved trails than any other state.

May 3, 2012 Wednesday was an absolutely beautiful day in the Northland. I love this time of year, with the anticipation of summer and all the fun it brings. This is also the time of year that motorcycles come out and more and more runners and people on bikes share the roads with drivers. It's a great vibe to have people out enjoying themselves, but it's also a great time to remind everyone to please pay close attention to their surroundings and look out for each other. I can speak first hand of this, as I've been out running several days a week for several weeks and am concerned of what I see while running on the road.
