All Star Game

High school all-star hockey action returns to the Northland as the Duluth area boys and girls hockey teams compete against Iron Range teams this March.

The MLB All Star game is next week and currently the only Minnesota Twin on the roster is closing pitcher Glen Perkins.  Twins second baseman Brian Dozier was snubbed throughout the All Star selection process but if you act now, you can vote him onto the team.

Kevin Love was all set to participate in the All Star Game festivities at Target Field.  When the celebrity softball game roster was first announced, Love had committed to play. However, he has now withdrawn his name from the roster, citing a conflict.

We are now less than a month away from the first ever MLB All-Star Game at Target Field.  While the game is Tuesday, July 15th, the festivities begin days before.  There is a ticketed free concert at TCF Stadium on Saturday, July 12th with the Imaging Dragons.  Sunday, is the Taco Bell® All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game at Target Field and new players have been announced.

It's a big summer at Target Field this year with the All-Star Game activities and today the Minnesota Twins made a big announcement regarding Joe Mauer.  Also getting in on the action are Bert Blyleven, Rod Carew, Paul Molitor and Tony Oliva.

When the Minnesota Twins moved into Target Field, one of the goals was to land the 2014 Major League Baseball All -Star Game.  Now, it appears that goal has been achieved.
