Man, what a sad story.  I've been on some bad first dates, but nothing quite like what happened in New York.  A 35 year old woman was on a first date with a man, when she went outside on the balcony to smoke a cigarette.   She leaned on the railing, which gave way, and she fell to her death 17 floors down.

The Duluth Police respond to a tragic crash on Jean Duluth Road and Carroll Street this afternoon. The crash killed two and injured one.

This happened at a New Mexico ski resort where a 17 year old was trying to throw a snowball at his friends in the lift chair in front of him when he lost his balance.  He was able to hang on for a short time, but eventually fell over 45 feet to the ground.  Luckily, he is ok.

A motorcyclist drove into a gulley last night created by the June flood near Barker's Island.  At 8:39 pm, a witness saw the motorcyclist drive slowly through the baracades and over the edge of the road on Marina Drive.  The witness found the man unresponsive lying in shallow water...

It was pretty scary moment for Luke Bryan recently when he visited a pizza parlor and choked on a piece of flatbread pizza.

The suspect has been identified in Friday Night's hit and run that killed a 61 year old Superior man.  Jeffery Swager has been charged with a Class D felony for hit and run which can carry a fine not to exceed $100,000 and no more than 25 years in prison.

A bizarre story comes from New York, where a bus driver was able to save the life of a 7 year old girl who fell from a 3 story window.  She was dancing and jumping on a window air conditioning unit when she inevitably fell.  The bus driver was able to catch her.  Sources say she was a child with special needs.

It's not 4th of July without fireworks.  We had a couple of big boy fireworks, and then quite a few of little kid sparklers and things.  Of course it was my job as Dad to light off all the fireworks.  Which in turn, made typing today somewhat painful.

This mirror probably saved me a trip to the hospital this morning.  I was nearly rear ended by a car when I stopped at a traffic light.
