Parents, Take Some Time With Your Children To Talk About Safety and Visit The Jacob Wetterling Resource Center Here

I didn't think we would ever get an answer about what happened to Jacob Wetterling.  When we first heard that his remains were found this weekend, a lot of emotions came back from years ago.  It's even sadder now knowing the truth, but at least the family finally has closure.   It's a good time to sit down with your kids and go over different scenarios and teach them to be safe.

Fortunately Patty Wetterling has helped countless of other families with this resource guide.

A lot of it is stuff we've already told our kids, but there are a lot of scenarios that you probably haven't thought of.  It's also a good refresher on the basics for you and your kids.

We spent some time last night talking to our 8 year old about what he would do in situations.  We talked about Jacob.  We didn't want to scare him, but we want him to be alert and safe.  I hope you do the same for your children, to honor Jacob Wetterling.
