It's been a long summer of construction in the Twin Ports.  While some Northland construction continues, there is one project that is near completion and it's time to celebrate.  The newly reconstructed Northwest Skywalk Passage and you're invited to the ribbon cutting.

It's very exciting news from Heath Hickok, Director of Marketing at the DTA,

The completion of the Northwest Passage has been anticipated by many since the day the construction started back in June..  When I'm running near the DECC in the afternoon I see the downtown employees taking the DTA back to their vehicles that would normally walk the skywalk.  The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) together with the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) and the Greater Downtown Council (GDC) are inviting you to a ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, October 8 at 8:30a.  They're planning on having the ceremony IN the skywalk that is closest to the DECC, it should be easy to find.  The event is free and open to all and the DECC will be providing refreshments in the skywalk from 6:30-8:30a.

Heath Hickock of the DTA pens that the skywalk is a key component of the DTA’s Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) construction project.  That is expected to be completed in January.
