The Big Sandy Lake Association has announced that the no wake ordinance has been lifted, as of July 24th.  Tests this week showed that elevation receded to 1,217.50 feet above sea level as measured at Libby Dam.

The no wake ordinance was put in place after the flooding as Big Sandy Lake rose and crested at dangerous levels.  The ordinance had an impact on businesses in the area, so the lifting of this ban should allow more people to venture into the recreation areas.

Happy and safe water fun everyone!
