New Hampshire May Ban Public Employees From Wearing Perfume

In New Hampshire, the  ”Live Free or Die” state, residents may soon be living a bit more free — of perfume.

A proposed bill, which will be voted on in New Hampshire’s House of Representatives this week, would ban state workers from wearing perfume or cologne when they are on the job. Republican Michele Peckham, who authored the bill, did so because an increasing number of people are reporting allergic reactions to those supposedly pleasant scents.

“It may seem silly, but it’s a health issue,’ Mrs Peckham explained. ‘Many people have violent reactions to strong scents.”

If passed, the bill will go into effect in mid-April. At which point the only smell emitting from the persons of New Hampshire state workers will be those that their own body produces.

This needs to not only pass, but pass in every state in this great country. Perfume and cologne abuse has gone on FAR TOO LONG. It began with our grandmothers and probably their grandmothers before them. One spritz and put the bottle down people.

Maybe we should just move to New Hampshire in the meantime. Ok, all the perfume must be getting to us, that’s the dumbest thing we’ve ever suggested.
