Police in Arcadia, Wisconsin say they are investigating an incident involving Halloween candy and sewing needles.

According to a press release posted to their Facebook page Wednesday, someone was handing out candy with sewing needles inside on Halloween. They say the candy in question was given out during normal trick-or-treating hours. The needles weren't discovered until the candy was cracked open.

Arcadia Police are looking for any information about the person and incident in question.

Similar incidents have occurred in the area over the past few days. Candy was tampered with at a local event and meth was found in a child's Halloween candy in Wisconsin.

This serves as a good reminder to use extra caution if your family is eating any of your collected sweet treats this week. Check your children's candy before you let them eat it, especially if you are in the Arcadia area. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
