MN DNR To Hold Hearing Today For License Fee Proposal

image: dnr.state.mn.us

Hunting and fishing licenses in Minnesota could be increasing.  The DNR has proposed the increase because they are facing a budget shortage.  It would be the first increase since 2001, and it’s been the longest time in between license increases in 40 years.

You can find out more about the increases, and how they affect you on the Minnesota DNR website.

I expect the increase will go through, since costs keep going up over the years, and they haven’t been charging more.  Sadly, it comes at a time where the economy hasn’t fully recovered.

Do you support an increase in hunting and fishing licenses?
