Miranda Lambert made the debut television performance of her new single "We Should Be Friends" Tuesday evening (Dec. 6) on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The country singer-songwriter graced the stage in a fringed denim jacket with her band for the rollicking track where she discusses her want for friendship with someone who has as many imperfections as she does.

Lambert penned "We Should Be Friends" alone, and it is the second single to her album The Weight of These Wings. Her previous single, "Vice," is nominated for two Grammy Awards in the Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song categories.

Following the Grammy nominations, the singer shared her delight for the Grammy nod through a photo on Instagram.

“Grammy nom feels!!!! What an amazing Tuesday,” Lambert writes beneath a photo of an adorable puppy sitting atop a bar stocked with Tito’s vodka, Jack Daniel’s whiskey … and plenty of water. “To have such a personal song as #Vice be nominated means the world.”

Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne co-wrote “Vice” with Lambert. Osborne told Taste of Country that nothing was off limits while writing the song.

“It’s written so much on the line of, it could be real, or it could be a character. And we purposely — and will continue to — leave that open to interpretation,” Osborne says. “It really is written from a point of view that I think is a relatable point of view. A lot of people struggle with things that are their weaknesses.”
