Minnesota Bear Hunt Applications Being Accepted Through May 5

If you want to participate in Minnesota bear hunting season this year, applications for hunting licenses are being accepted now through Friday, May 5.

You can pick up an application wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold, including online here.

The Minnesota DNR says that a total of 3,350 licenses are available in 13 permit areas, down from 3,850 last year. Bear licenses cost $44 for residents and $230 for nonresidents, and there is a $5 application fee.  License lottery winners will be notified by June 2.

The 2017 bear hunting season will run from Friday, September 1, through Sunday, October 15.
