As we are heading towards the incredibly brutal, harsh, life sucking winter in the next couple of months, I decided it was time to get a treadmill.  The running joke is of course that it's a lot of money to spend on a clothes rack.
But the goal is to use it at least 3 times a week to hopefully shed a few pounds and prevent gaining some over the winter months.   I did a lot of research trying to find the most bang for the buck, and I ended up on choosing the Lifespan 1200i Treadmill.

I was going to originally go with the cheaper Horizon T101, but this one just seemed sturdier.  It had a thicker frame and would hold up better to my thicker frame.  It has a better warranty, and better reviews for the customer service.

I can't say much about assembly, because it was a floor model.  But trust me, I had my headaches of my own.  I have a pretty narrow basement stairway, and I ended up having to take my stairs out to drop it into the basement.

After I finally got it up and running I was very impressed.   It is sturdy, quiet, and at this point goes faster than I can.  So it will be a while before I outgrow this machine and have to upgrade.   For an entry level treadmill, this is everything you need.
