Lake Superior Zoo Is Ready To Open Doors After Devastating Flood Of The Century

On the day of the flood, it was with heavy hearts that we broadcast the devastation that took place at the Lake Superior Zoo.  Animals were lost, habitats were destroyed and the Northland knew it would be a long time until normalcy was restored.

The Lake Superior Zoo is not operating at 100%, but after three weeks of being closed while zoo staff and countless volunteers helped to  clear the debris and repair and restore the grounds.....the are OPENED TODAY!!!  Just another sign that the we are recovering from the flood waters.

As I mentioned, they are not open 100% yet.  There are some pathways to exhibits that are still unsafe for visitors.  The Lake Superior Zoo appreciates your understanding.
