Country music fans will soon be able to cook like Kix Brooks. The singer is set to release his own cookbook this summer.

Brooks, half of country duo Brooks & Dunn and a solo artist, will release Cookin’ It With Kix: The Art of Celebrating and the Fun of Outdoor Cooking on Aug. 30. The cookbook includes over 100 personal recipes from Brooks and his friend and co-writer Donna Britt. In addition to recipes that showcase Brooks' Louisiana heritage, Cookin' It With Kix features family recipes accompanied by personal stories from the singer.

“This cookbook is all about making it easy to be outside creating memories with the people who mean the most to you,” says Brooks in a press release. “Whether you are getting ready for a backyard BBQ, planning a menu for Thanksgiving dinner or want to cook up some fish you just pulled out of a stream, we have recipes for you. Before you know it, you’ll be cookin’ like a Cajun too!”

Adds Matt Baugher, senior vice president of Thomas Nelson and publisher of W Publishing Group, "The recipes are amazing, but this is as much a celebration guide as it is a cookbook. And enjoying life is one of the things that Kix has been espousing for years, whether onstage or behind the microphone of his radio show. Buyers of this book are in for a treat.”

In addition to putting together this new cookbook, Brooks, along with Reba McEntire and B&D partner Ronnie Dunn, has been performing in Las Vegas, Nev., for the trio's Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas residency. Numerous dates are scheduled throughout 2016.

Cookin’ It With Kix: The Art of Celebrating and the Fun of Outdoor Cooking is available for pre-order through Brooks' official website.
