This is one amazing soul! A Northland native is back at it again this year, hosting a live online auction benefitting the kids at St. Jude. Justin Gower of JG's Custom Lures raised an insane amount of money last year and is hoping to raise even more in 2024!

This year, Justin is hoping to raise $20,000. He will be hosting his annual auction on the JG's Custom Lures Facebook page. Not only will he be auctioning off his custom lures, but over 120 companies have donated to the auction as well. Wow!

The live auctions will be held beginning Thursday, February 8th through the 11th on the Facebook page. It will kick off at 6:30 p.m. each evening. You can go to the Facebook page right now and like the page as a reminder.

Whether you are an angler who wants to take part or you have someone in your life that loves the great outdoors, there will be an item at the auction for everyone! This year, auction items include the following:

  • Hunting gear
  • Ice fishing gear
  • Open water gear
  • Guided trips
  • And more!

Prior to the live auction, Justin will be hopping on the JG's Custom Lures Facebook page to do his live painting of the lures. Those lives will take place each night at 7:30 p.m. beginning on Monday (January 29th) through Friday, February 4th.

This is a passion project for Justin, who lost a dear friend to childhood cancer when he was just 18 years old. In 2021, he decided to do a benefit auction for his lures and graciously donated the proceeds to St. Jude. He was able to raise $2,400 that first year.

Soon, this small passion project grew into something incredible! He has continued to do the auction every year since, even gathering donations from some incredible companies to also benefit the cause. Last year, he donated $15,000 to our St. Jude Radiothon.

This year, let's help Justin hit his goal of $20,000 to help the kids of St. Jude! If you aren't able to donate monetarily, share his story and mission. Every little bit helps. Thanks for all you do, Justin.
