Help Minnesota Candy Store ID Thieves Who Stole Employee Tip Jar + Merchandise

Unfortunately, shoplifting continues to happen pretty frequently. It seems we can't go through a month without a local business or the authorities asking for help identifying people who have stolen from a Northland business.

However, what happened recently at the Sweetly Kisment Candy Store at 1707 E Hwy 210 in Carlton feels far more personal. Not only did individuals reportedly shoplift merchandise, but they stole directly from the local employees themselves.

According to their Facebook post on Monday, June 26, two individuals walked out with candy they did not pay for and they also walked out with the employee tip jar.

As the store pointed out, this takes their crime to a different level.

The most angering is that these kids work tirelessly throughout the day to earn whatever extras our customers feel they earn.

As cold-blooded as that is, the good news is that the Sweetly Kisment Candy Store was able to capture pictures of the two individuals from what appears to be a security video. They shared the following series of pictures on Facebook, hoping it would lead to the identification of the people in question.

This picture shows one of the two individuals walking into the store.

The next two photos show them walking throughout the store.

In the shared photo below, the store highlights the two individuals and the employee tip jar sitting on the counter.

The next photo shows the employee tip jar no longer on the counter and very likely in the possession of the suspect wearing a hoodie. What makes that even more apparent is the fact that there were no other customers in the store at this time.

The last photo shows the bearded suspect exiting the store and walking toward a red car.

Hopefully, the combination of the information in these photos and the number of people who see them leads to the identification of both individuals so that they can be held accountable. Anyone with information is asked to call 218-460-9800.
