Heads Up! Road Repair To Lake Avenue Starts Monday, June 23

Tis' the season of road construction.  Of course, we will all appreciate the upgrades when they are done, until then it can cause frustration.  But, if you know what to expect you can choose an alternative route and avoid the area they're working in.  The City of Duluth has given us heads up on some construction starting this Monday.

The construction will start Monday, June 23, along Lake Avenue between 3rd and 4th Street and between 5th and 6th Street. This will require Lake Ave to close in designated areas to reconstruct the road surface and install new curb and gutter. Y blocks along Lake Ave were dug up due to prior utility repairs resulting from a water main break last year. Temporary patching was put in place until a permanent fix could be implemented.

Work is scheduled to last through the first week in July, pending weather. You may experience delays and are requested to follow the signed detour route.
