Graffiti in the Northland has been somewhat limited to our train cars and under the freeway.  According to WDIO.com that isn't the case anymore.   In face an Eyewitness News reporter and photographer found evidence in East Duluth and there was something very definitive about it.

They found the same thing spray painted in several places on East 6th Street.  2.7.5 was on a house, a vehicle, benches and even on the ground, as well as other places.

Residents in that area are concerned it could be gang related, but the Duluth Police Department said there is no reason think that at this point.

However, because the same thing is spray painted each time ( and the fact that it is illegal to deface certain surfaces), they are interested in who the culprit is behind the graffiti.

If you see any graffiti, or have information that should be shared, please call the Duluth Police Department's hotline at 218.730.5670.
