F-16s Intercept 75 Year Old Woman

A 75 year old woman was intercepted by two F-16 fighter jets while she was flying her homemade airplane on Wednesday night.

Myrtle Rose has been flying for years, and in her airplane there was no radio.   President Obama was visiting Chicago at the time and a temporary restricted flight area was in effect.  Myrtle didn't know and the military couldn't reach her so they sent the fighter jets to reach her.

NORAD officials said Rose's plane did not have a radio, forcing the Command to scramble the jets to identify it. The jets intercepted the plane, forcing it to turn around and return to its home airport at Mill Rose Farm, Humphreys said.
