“Attracting Birds to Your Yard”

Parkland Town Hall, Veteran's Drive and County Road K, South Range will be the site of a straw bale gardening demonstration and program: "Attracting Birds to Your Yard" on Thursday, May 12, at 7pm. With the resurgence in interest in local food consumption and home gardens, Douglas County Home and Community Education (HCE) and the Parkland Community Group have arranged for Jane Anklam, Douglas County Extension Agriculture Educator, and the Master Gardeners to present this demonstration and program open free to the public. Meet at 7pm at the Parkland Community Garden for the demonstration. Please call the Extension Office (715-395-1363) to register by Monday, May 9, so there will be enough hand-outs. The hall is handicapped accessible; refreshments will be served.
