The Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium partners with UMD’s Astronomy Club and the Arrowhead Astronomical Society to present Astronomy Day on Saturday, April 23rd from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Taking place at the Planetarium on UMD’s campus, the event is free for all ages, though there is a suggested donation of $4.00. Involved Planetarium employees and volunteers celebrate this nationally recognized holiday with a variety of activities. The annual Astronomy Day event includes shows, presentations, virtual reality experiences, and hands-on, educational activities all run by space enthusiasts from UMD and the greater Duluth community. People of all ages can enjoy everything this event has to offer.
