In order to repair an old valve leaking in Grand Avenue, a water main will be shut down which will impact some Duluth residents.

The City of Duluth Department of Public Works and Utilities has announced that this Tuesday there will be a water main shut down on Grand Ave at 62nd Avenue West. Residents in the immediate vicinity will not have water service from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM on October 13th.

Those residents who can expect a loss of water service during that time will either be personally contacted by the City staff Utility Inspector or by written notice via a door hanger.

All other City residents west of I-35 including Norton Park, Riverside, Gary New-Duluth, and Fon du Lac may experience lower than normal flow rates or water pressure until the repairs are completed.

Repair completion is set for 5 PM on October 13th, at which point water pressure and flow should return to normal.
