What is happening in our Northland.  It seems that I am blogging about crime almost on a daily basis and this time the Duluth Police Department is seeking help finding TWO different suspects in TWO different robbery crimes this week alone!  Can you help with information or share on social media to spread the word, please?

The first one occurred on Monday, November 17th, 2014 at approximately 10:27 a.m. Duluth Police responded to call of a female reporting a robbery of a person. Officers determined that the victim, an adult female and in the area of 18th Avenue East and 3rd Street.  She was walking when she was attacked from behind by an intoxicated, black male suspect, taking her purse. The victim sustained minor injuries from the robbery incident. The suspect is described as:

  •   Black male
  •   Approximately 6’ tall
  •   Approximately 50 years old
  •   Stalky build
  •   Having a scruffy beard
  •   Wearing a black puffy jacket

This is an active investigation and no other information is available at this time. If you have any information on the suspect or incident, you are asked to call 911.

The other one happened on Thursday, November 20th, 2014 at 5:00 a.m. Duluth Police responded to the area of 5th Avenue East and 4th Street on a report of an attempted robbery. An adult female victim reported that she was approached by a suspect demanding her purse, and pointing a gun towards her. The victim struggled with the suspect and the suspect fled through the alley leaving in a vehicle. The victim described the suspect as a:

  •   White male
  •  Approximately 20 years old

This is an active investigation. No other information is available at this time. If you have any other information regarding the attempted robbery incident, you are asked to call 911.
