The following is released from the  Duluth Government website,. The Library / Depot Upper Lot, located at 6th Avenue West and Michigan Street, has reopened this week after a substantial reconstruction of the facility.

The facility features a pay-by space configuration. Now you note your parking space number and input it at the automated pay station or via the cell phone payment system. The pay station accepts coins (nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollar coins), $1 bills, and Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards. Receipts are entirely optional and do not need to be displayed on vehicle dashboards.

The 118-space lot also offers a pay-by-phone option. Simply call 866-234-7275 and then follow the voice prompts to input the parking facility’s location number (3102), your vehicle’s parking space number, and the number of minutes you desire to purchase. The pay-by-phone system accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit and debit cards. Those who pay via phone receive a text message reminder approximately 5 to 15 minutes before their parking expires with the option to purchase more time.

Those whose original payment is made at the pay station also have the option to purchase more time via the pay-by-phone system.

The parking fee is unchanged at 25 cents per 40 minutes, and the maximum parking stay is unchanged at 12 hours. The Library / Depot Upper Lot is owned by the City of Duluth and managed by Interstate Parking Company of Minnesota, which may be reached at 218-727-PARK.
