Breakfast Club Live Blog Feb 21st Digging Out

Wow, what a storm!  Main roads are plowed, but all the side streets and parking lots are relatively untouched as of 5:30 this morning.  This means it is very difficult to get around, and many cars are stuck.   Under the snow there is a layer of ice, making it even more treacherous.   Winds are blowing snow around and there are still whiteout conditions in some areas.   Stay home if you can.  Check our closings and weather page for information.

Updated Storm Predictions for Winter Storm Warning 02-20-14

Another winter storm is beginning to move into the Twin Ports region, but this storm could bring a larger amount of heavier snow than what we saw on Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for all of Eastern Minnesota and all of Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. The warning is in effect now, and remains in effect until noon Friday.

Breakfast Club Live Blog February 20, Winter Storm Seneca Arriving Today

There's been updates in the winter storm everyone is bracing for.   It has been pushed back slightly, with the Winter Storm Warning beginning today at 9am, and continuing through noon tomorrow.  This morning we will see 1-2" of snow, this afternoon another 3-6", and then overnight another 4-8".  Totals for the Twin Ports are expected to be 10-14".  North Central Wisconsin and higher terrain in the arrowhead could get excess of 14".

You May Want To Take Time To Remove Snow From Your Roof

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty nice day.  I went outside and breathed in the warm 34 degree air.  It was nice not to have ice crystals immediately fill my lungs.  As I looked around my yard and my home, I noticed a problem on my garage roof.   The snow was piled up about 2 1/2 feet on my garage roof.   See the problem isn't always how much snow has fallen, but sometimes drifts can occur on your roof.
